Hi everyone
I've been holding on to these cute little cups for ages now. I have this habit of 'collecting' lots of gorgeous crafty bits and pieces and hording rather than using them. I think most of the thrill for me is to purchase all the nice ribbons, papers and embellishments.... I never seem to want to 'waste' them on this card or that. I have to constantly remind myself that I have all these gorgeous things to use!!! Sitting gathering dust is not what they're here for! So finally I broke open the little cups and made a few of these flowers for the girls I'm going to craft retreat with at the end of March.
As you can see my photography skills haven't improved too much over the past week. I'm working on it........lol.
I wish I could say I came up with this nifty flower idea all by myself - but the very talented Marelle Taylor did, see her bright assortment here! I've seen lots of different ideas for the cups, including using them for jewellery, coins and gardening seeds. I imagine there are a thousand more out there. I'll definitely be keeping a stash on hand.
We have the Canberra day long weekend coming up so I'm looking forward to lots of crafting, reading and relaxing. Rain is forecast, hooray, let's hope we get it. Things are starting to look a little green here which is a very welcome change. I'd love to hear your weekend plans?
Oh these are soooooo cute - I wish I was going on the retreat with you!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool but need to know where ya got your treat cups at. Please and thanks so much. cletajoe@aol.com you can message me there thanks
ReplyDeleteI know this is an old project but just found it on pinterest and thought about them for our kid's Sunday School class to make for Mother's Day. Could you tell me where you get the sweet treat cups? Didn't know if they were something that had to be ordered. Loved the idea!!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Chucksusan
DeleteThe ‘sweet treat cups’ are a Stampin’ Up! product. You can order them through your local demonstrator. If you’re in Australia and don’t have a demo then I can order them for you. You can view them via the online catalogue if you don’t have one (again if you’re in Australia I can send you a hard copy catalogue – lots to look at, always good to have a hard copy lol).
Official name for the cups is Circle Treat Cups, item number 116802 and cost $A4.95 for 12 cups. They have an adhesive backing and you would use a 4.4cm (1-3/4 inch) circle punch shape for the back to hold your treats inside. Hope that helps.

Do you sell these flowers? Interested for a fundraiser.

Hi Kelly, unfortunately you can no longer purchase the little cups from SU as they're discontinued. Sorry I can't help you. Good luck in your search for fundraising ideas - have a look at Pinterest - there are tons of fabulous ideas there.
