Just Add Ink #488 - Celebration Blog Hop

Happy Friday ~

Welcome to a very special post... Just Add Ink is celebrating 10 years of challenges! We've also reached over 1000 followers! Both milestones are definitely worth celebrating & that is our challenge theme this week. We appreciate you & we'd love you to share your celebration cards & projects with us.

As part of our milestone celebrations the design team are offering prizes - Yay! Check out the JAI blog for details. Prizes will include stamp sets, card kits, embossing folders, ribbons, rhinestones, handmade cards/tags....

I couldn't resist playing with the new Painted Poppies stamps & Peaceful Poppies designer paper. I stamped my poppies on Shimmery White cardstock & coloured them using a blender brush, & I coloured the leaves with a dauber due to the smaller size - super quick & easy! Fortunately I enjoy fussy cutting as I have the other set of dies in this suite.

I've left the sentiment off this card for now....when I know who I'm gifting it to I'll add a little strip of black with white embossing on it I think.

I'm the lucky last on the hop so if you click on the next button below you'll end up back at the start with, Chantell. Enjoy the hop!

Thanks for stopping past today.

Colour INKspiration #70 - 3rd Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Welcome crafty friends ~

I am thrilled to participate in the third Birthday Bash Blog Hop with the Colour INKspiration design team. Do you know that it's exactly three years to the day since Colour INKspiration launched on Facebook on 11 January 2017?

The theme is BIRTHDAYS & you can choose your 3 favourite SU colours as well as neutrals & metallics which are allowed. You may enter as many times as you like.

This challenge will run for a whole month over the summer 'break' until 10 February.

Here are my chosen colours. I've also used neutrals - Whisper White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate.

I've created two cards using the gorgeous new SAB stamp set Happy Birthday To You. This cake is so fun to colour. I heat embossed the image onto watercolour paper & used an aqua painter to apply colour straight from my ink pads.

I've used Shimmery White embossing paste on my mat layer, which is popped up on foam for dimension. The paste adds lots of texture & a lovely sparkle.

On my second card I fussy cut the top of the coloured image, & popped a circle die over my cardstock, & under the top part of the image & ran it through my machine. Then I've layered it on a scallop & popped up on foam.

So both cards are the same, but different. I couldn't choose a favourite so decided to share both.

If you'd like to join the challenge fun too click on this link & request to join the Colour Inkspiration facebook group to play. Now click on the next button below to check out Nicole's fabulous project.

Thanks for stopping by today, & enjoy the hop!
