TGIF ~
Phew I've been looking forward to today for about two weeks now. Work has been busy, home life has been busy, and I'm hoping this weekend is going to be catch up time for slowing down and chilling out. It started raining here in Canberra yesterday so that's always a sign for a quieter weekend...well in our house at least.
Over at Just Add Ink this week we have a sketch for you. When I first saw the sketch I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, so put it aside for a few weeks. One night I was pottering in my craft room without thought and ended up making this card in next to no time - must have just been in the mood.
I've used a base of Early Espresso and layered Very Vanilla c/s on top with a couple of strips of designer paper (love that Lime Twist from MME) that I've stitched on my sewing machine. If you look closely you can see that I've added a VV punched layer too, before 'popping' up a circle Nestie and the lovely flower image from Bordering on Romance - my latest stamp set. I coloured with copics (that I tried to match to my dsp), gave a little spray of Champagne Shimmer Mist and finished with Pearls. The flower image was stamped twice, with the 'pink blooms' fussy cut and 'popped' up on dimensionals.
I love that the Design Team have come up with a great variety of ideas using the same sketch. Pop over to JAI and grab a little inspiration for yourself and join the Challenge fun. I look forward to seeing all your entries.
Thanks for stopping by today, and as always I really do appreciate your kind comments. Have a fabulous weekend!
PS: Less than a week until Convention woohoo!
Very Noice, love the dark strip thrown in there makes for great contrast.
