JAI#108...Just Add a Colour Challenge

Good Friday morning ~

So glad it's the weekend, and as it's Canberra Day on Monday we have a longer one than usual. I love Public Holidays! The weather has been pretty miserable too so hopefully I'll get a bit of extra crafting time.

Over at Just Add Ink this week Nikki has given us a Colour Challenge. Initially I thought masculine, because let's face it, most of us struggle with cards for the men in our lives. I'm not sure mine actually ended up being very manly because I filled my space with a felt butterfly and some pearls lol.


No matter, I'm sure I'll find a good use for it. I've white embossed my die cut label and popped it up on the Early Espresso Satin ribbon. My little felt butterfly is actually layered on an acetate butterfly to give a bit of height, however, it's hard to see in the pic. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email.

    I love the contrast that the white-embossing provides, to the Early Espresso elements you've used, Patrice. This is a really beautiful card!!

    I love this card Patrice. I love the tone on tone leaves and the felt butterlfy. I've never really 'gotten' MS3 but I love how you have used it here.

    I love your take on these colours Patrice. The simplicity of it is just stunning and so elegant. What colour cardstock have you used - I love the darker blue.

    Ooh I love this - that Indigo background just yells look and me and then your eye is drawn in by the stamped foliage to that gorgeous!!! felt butterfly!!! Love it.

    I love the simplicity of your die cut layered onto your card card - it's really quite striking! I can never keep my cards this clean and look so good!

    Nice card! Love how you rounded two opposite corners. The pearls finish your butterfly very nicely...
