Just Add Ink #357 - Just Add a Colour Combo

Happy Friday friends ~

Jan has given us this sweet colour combo to use for the new Just Add Ink challenge starting today - Sweet Sugarplum, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry & Sahara Sand.

I made an Easter shaker card for our lovely US exchange student and popped it in her Easter gift bag along with some new winter pjs, and lots of chocolate eggs.  I think she loved it *wink*.

The little bunny is from a cute MFT stamp set called Snuggle Bunnies.  I coloured him with copic markers similar in shade to Sahara Sand and Island Indigo.

While I was at it I made another little shaker using one of the other cute images in the stamp set changing my c/s colours to Pink Pirouette and the long retired Strawberry Slush - hoarder much?

If you fancy trying out this lovely colour combo for yourself head over to JAI and check out the challenge details, and get yourself some inspiration from the design team samples.

It was back to school for us this week, a short week given we celebrated ANZAC day on Tuesday. It's nice to be back into a routine, although I fear the novelty is not going to last the entire 10 week term right through winter.  It became bitter cold here in Canberra this week.  The heater has gone on, and I doubt it'll be off now until October/November sometime.

Hope you've got a fun weekend lined up.  I have a busy Saturday, with a card class and special birthday dinner/drinks/dancing that evening.  A nice excuse to dress up & be fancy.

Just Add Ink #356 - Just Choose Two

Happy Friday ~

Kelly has given us this weeks Just Add Ink challenge to choose two - metallics or circles or balloons. I've used circles and balloons for my card.

The colour combo I've used for my birthday card seems to be very popular of late.  I chose Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay.

Pop over to JAI and grab the challenge details so you can join the fun with us.

Not a lot of news to add today, we've been sharing change of season germs around our family :( Easter weekend was very quiet for me, as I had hoped - I did get a few cards made so that was something, and I read an entire novel too, as well as a bit of Netflix binge watching.  The off road camping trip to the Victoria high country was a huge success - they all arrived home late on Monday night tired, filthy and very happy!

Until next week...have a wonderful weekend.

Just Add Ink #355 - Just Add a Sketch

Good morning!

Our fabulous sketch designer, Narelle, has given us a terrific challenge to kick off the Easter long weekend over at Just Add Ink.  I hope you've all put aside time for crafting.  I certainly plan to get inky today while most of my family is away four wheel driving/off road camping in the Victorian high country.  Unfortunately Gorgeous Kid is at home unwell this Easter weekend :(

I used my Shooting Star stamps, and matching Framelits to make this spinner card which until this week hadn't seen ink!  I'm thinking I should 'shop my own stash' and work through all of my stamps from A to Z in a quest to use them!

This was also my first use of the Serene Scenery dsp - gasp.  I thought this particular design looked like a night sky, so I added the sweet shooting star which spins around and around - lots of fun to play with.

To enhance the night sky look I added lots of shimmer which was hard to photograph - I think it shows better in this close up.

Pop over to JAI and get inspired with all the lovely design team inspiration.  I hope to see lots of you getting busy this long weekend and uploading your creations to share with us.  Here is the sketch.

As mentioned above it's a nice quiet weekend in my house and I've got a few lazy plans - reading, crafting, catching up on some tv shows I haven't had time for lately, enjoying the peace and tranquility....I'm all set with hot cross buns and a little chocolate too.  Wishing you all a wonderful Easter!

Thanks for stopping by today, and if you have any questions on how I created this spinner card please leave a comment or email me and I'll be happy to share how it came together.
