Well I am having the most awesome holiday ever. It's been all go & rather exhausting but I'm loving New York so so much! Talk about a city that never stops.... my whole eating & sleeping routine is out of whack & I've walked more than ever, giving myself matching blisters on each foot. Anyway I'll come back with some decent updates once the fun is over & normal life resumes.
It's time for the new Just Add Ink challenge - despite me posting late this week, eek. Nikki has chosen a super fun one for us today - we're Masking!
I die cut my sentiment out of freezer paper, ironed it on to my watercolour paper then used my Zig Brush Markers to apply colour, adding some water to push it around and spread it out a little further. Once it was dry I carefully peeled my mask off. Ta da, it was so much easier than getting a good photo on a bright day.
Hope you can join the challenge fun this week. Back again next!
I was wondering how you did the letters P looks like I need to revisit the masking class as this is an awesome effect! Keep having a wonderful holiday. xxx
ReplyDeleteVery effective card Patrice perfect for a teen,
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me out of all those shoes you took you didn't take comfy ones lol enjoy x
So glad you are having a ball in New York P :-) Your card is gorgeous - CAS and fabulous! Your freezer sheet mask technique is one I hadn't heard of before but will have to try as the effect is fantastic! I love your mix of white, and black amongst the blocks of colour and sparkle. xx
ReplyDeleteWow Patrice - this is so cool.....what a wonderful technique idea - I'm keen to try it but not too flash with an iron - so not sure that it's a technique for me......but I love it. Chantell x x x
ReplyDeleteOk dumb question.... what is freezer paper?
ReplyDeleteIt certainly has done the job of masking very well :)
Glad you are enjoying the big apple!
So glad you're having a wonderful holiday, Patrice! And your card is fantastic - I haven't tried the freezer paper masking yet and this is encouraging me to get out that freezer paper and give it a go!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this use for freezer paper, but, boy, what a great result! Gorgeous colour choices, too, P.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Trish - what is this freezer paper you speak of?
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, you've created a great look with it. Now get back to having a brilliant time in NY.
