Good Friday morning ~
Well it's sure been a cool week here in Canberra, you can feel snow in the air and it's still only Autumn :o( it doesn't help that we lost daylight savings last weekend - boo. The afternoons are getting darker so much earlier. Brrrrr.
There's a new challenge over at Just Add Ink and this week Rochelle has given us a lovely colour combination of 'Blackberry Bliss, Smokey Slate and Melon Mambo'. You can make so many pretties with these colours.
Lots of Whisper White layers here, with a nice splash of colour don't you think? I used one of the double stitched circle dies from Simon Says Stamp to inlay one of my favourite designer papers from the Park Lane series. The little double bow is made with the Cotton Ribbon. Sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.
Pop over to JAI and check out all the gorgeous design team projects provided for your inspiration. Hope you find time to get inky over the weekend.
I've been busily working on some swap cards for the upcoming Convention 2015 being held on the Gold Coast at the end of this month. I just can't wait to meet up with lots of my blog friends from across Australia and New Zealand, and particularly spend five fabulous days with many of the JAI girls - we always have so much fun together. Late nights chatting and laughing, lots of good food and of course crafty time together. It really is a highlight for me!
Thanks for stopping by today. Have an awesome weekend!
I love that die you've used and greats minds think alike as we've both used the same dsp.
ReplyDeleteLet me know next time you are doing a Simon Says order as I might have to get a few bits too :)
17 days till we get to see you xox
Love this Patrice! Love the 'white space' and the little 'pops' of colour. Love the inlaid blackberry circle and the double stitched circle dies finish it all off perfectly! I'm glad you have started on your swaps, I've still got no idea! Better get moving and I can't wait to meet all the JAI girls at convention!
ReplyDeletePerfection P! All of that crisp white space works beautifully and allows the colours to really pop. xx
ReplyDeleteYou aced clean and simple perfection here P! Love the detail on the DSP and its contrast to the simple lines of the Smokey Slate leaves. xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree re the loss of Daylight Savings Patrice - so sad! We are almost halfway to the shortest Day then it will get better again :-) Love all the crisp white space here and the gorgeous pops of colour - so elegant! And adore the look the stitched circle die gives too xx
ReplyDeleteTotally gorgeous! I am loving all of that white space combined with the pretty DSP window you've created! I am counting down the days until convention too - it will be sooooo good to see you again and have some laughs (and maybe some churros!)
ReplyDeleteI am so behind on my blog-surfing that I hadn't seen this beauty yet! Love those leaves - they are some of my favourite leaf stamps/dies. As to your comment on my blog re the Misti, I bought mine straight from the manufacturer MySweetPetunia.com. I would recommend getting 4 magnets unless you can find some really strong ones locally that are thin enough to fit inside. I only bought 2 and they aren't strong enough to hold the paper against the stickiness of photopolymer stamps. I bought some more online from a NZ store. They are neodymium magnets and you really want a strength of about N45. From memory, you need them to be thinner than about 1.8mm. The grid paper is a nice to have but not necessary. Shipping was pretty reasonable to NZ I thought. I would recommend you join the Facebook group Mistified which has lots of good info and videos. You won't regret buying one, that's for sure! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was going to the convention, sounds like your going to have a blast. You will have to post lots of photos!! Love everything about your card, especially your favourite blackberry coloured DP, its stunning!
ReplyDeleteNice post! Thanks for share.
