Just Add Ink #204 - Just Add a Colour Combo

Yay it's Friday ~

The ever so lovely Nikki provided us with a Colour Combo of Pistachio Pudding, Crumb Cake and Gold over at Just Add Ink this week.  I must admit that I don't use a lot of Gold in my crafting and so I didn't have much more choice than good old embossing powder.  Boring huh!

I do love this sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set.  The ink splatter was made using the Colour Spritzer Tool and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker - I really need to pull this handy little tool out more often.  It took care of all that white space nicely.  I made this card for a friend to give her husband on Valentine's Day.

Pop over to Just Add Ink and see what the other lovely ladies have provided for your inspiration this week. Hope you find the time to play along with us.

I have a few special plans lined up today and I can't wait.  It's going to be a good day!  On the downside it's the last day of Summer and Autumn officially starts tomorrow *insert sad face*.  Autumn is my least favourite season of the year.  I do love all the pretty coloured leaves, but I really don't like them falling off the trees leaving them bare and bald.  It's a sign that the freezing cold weather is on its way.  Boo!

  1. Love the simplicity of your card Patrice. The ink splatter is a really cool effect. Thank God for Gold EP! Like you, I don't do gold much either, lol

Sounds like you've got a good day planned.

  3. The gold embossing is perfect! I agree, the changing colours are stunning through a Canberra autumn. I miss them. BUT, brace yourself for the cold, yuck. I hope you are well, my friend xx

  5. Soooooo NOT boring P! That bold bright sentiment just looks fabulous and I love how you framed it and layered it on the chevron banner. Hope today was as good as you were hoping :) xxx

  6. Definitely not boring as the gold embossing allows that beautiful sentiment to stand out on such a lovely card.
