Colour INKspiration Challenge #25 - Congrats

Happy New Year!

Welcome to a new Colour INKspiration challenge - our first for 2018! You have probably arrived from Julia's lovely selection of masculine cards....I always appreciate the inspiration as I find creating for the men & boys in my life most challenging! If you haven't joined us over on Facebook yet, click here to be taken to our FACEBOOK GROUP.

Here is the inspiration colour palette. Hopefully these beautiful colours will inspire you to join the challenge fun and share your projects with us.

I broke out my new SAB set Lots of Lavender for this card, & instead of colouring it purple I've gone with navy tones as per the colour swatch. I'm calling these my 'blue sage' flowers. First I did a little 'smooshing' with some acetate, water & Lemon Lime Twist re-inker on Shimmery White c/s. While that was drying I coloured my flowers with prisma pencils in the closest shades I could find for NoN & LLT, finishing with painting some of the flower bases with Wink of Stella. Then came the fussy cutting...lucky I like it & find it relaxing! To finish I popped the flowers up on dimensionals, added my (retired) wooden sentiment & a little bling & voila my card was ready for its super special recipient.

It didn't turn out quite the way I had envisioned....& it's not one of my favourites but that's paper crafting for you! You just never know what you're gonna get (bit like a box of chocolates lol).

To continue on with the blog hop click on the next blog image below & you'll be taken to see what Rose has created to share with us today.

Thanks for stopping by, & do make sure you get right around to see all the lovely projects the Crew have created to share with you.

Colour INKspiration Challenge #18 - Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Welcome to a new Colour INKspiration challenge. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who love to share projects using fabulous colour combos found on Pinterest.

At first glance I loved these colours! However, if I'm being honest I struggled using them together....who would have thought I'd find all that pink too much? Perhaps it's what I've done with it. Regardless the end result is growing on me....

This is my first play with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamps, & I just love those little flowers. There was a lot of fussy cutting involved, fortunately I find it quite a therapeutic activity.

I used the sponge brayer to add Powder Pink ink to my Whisper White front panel, graduating from dark to light, bottom to top - not sure you can see that so well in the pic. I've also added splatters with my Wink of Stella pen, flicking it randomly - love the effect.

I've carried the sponging through to the inside of my card, & again added some shimmery splatters.

Here is the inspiration colour palette. Hopefully these colours will inspire you to join the challenge fun and share your projects. If you'd like to join the challenge follow this link >>> https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075/ to check out all the details on our Facebook Page.

If you're following the hop you may have come from my beautiful friend, Nikki. I just love everything she creates! To continue on with the blog hop click on the next blog image below & you'll be taken to see what my other beautiful friend Kelly has created to share with us today.

Edited to add - I'm currently away in Queensland enjoying some sunshine & warmth. I had a little mishap & posted this a week early! OMG! I tried to rectify fairly quickly but if you've already seen my card, that's why. My apologies to the rest of the Crew :(

Thanks so much for taking a little time to stop by, and if you've left a comment thanks, I love reading them.

Colour INKspiration Challenge # 15

Welcome to a new Colour INKspiration challenge. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who love to share projects using fabulous colour combos found on Pinterest.

When I saw You've Got Style in the new catalogue it was first on my wish list. You see this gorgeous lady reminds me so much of my dear grandmother. Although my granny does prefer to drink tea... I've been itching to ink this old gal up. Don't you just love her?

Colour INKspiration Challenge # 4

Happy hump evening crafty friends ~

Welcome back to a new Colour INKspiration challenge.  There is a bit of excitement over on Facebook tonight with our brand new Crew members joining us.  Go check the news out for yourself https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075/

If you're following the hop you may have come from the amazingly talented Jackie Noble. I just love everything she shares with us!

I have created a very simple card this week.  I pulled out a stencil and sponged the challenge colours (graduating from dark to light bottom up) onto scrap c/s.  Then I cut that down to a panel and added it to a Thick Whisper White card base.  I die cut the sentiment three times to create some depth, and once adheared on top of each other I slathered with my Fine Tip Glue Pen to make it all glossy.  My card is finished with some purple enamel dots from my stash.  Voila, a five minute card - literally!

Below I've added the challenge inspiration and colours.  See what you can come up with and join in the fun!

Colour INKspiration Challenge # 2

Good evening friends ~

Surprise!  I have some exciting news to share; I'm on the Colour INKspiration Crew!  It consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.

There's also a Facebook group for Stampin' Up! enthusiasts who would like to share their paper craft projects using the colour combinations.

Here's the deal - Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7pm (AEST), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.

Members of the group have the option to join the Colour INKspiration 'Challenge' by uploading photos of their projects and can link back to their personal blog if they wish to.  Make sure you click on the link below and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075/

Hope to see you there!

Welcome to the second Colour INKspiration challenge.  Bron has given us a lovely 'succulent' colour combo today. Hopefully these colours will inspire you to join the challenge fun and share your projects.  Check it out.

If you're following the hop, you will have come from Chlo's Craft Closet - how fabulous is that gorgeous big bloom Chloe coloured?  If you've come straight here and wish to start at the Colour INKspiration challenge page over on FB, just click the banner above to be redirected.  Once you join the group you'll be able to load your projects there and join the fun each fortnight.

The birthday card I have created is fairly simple as I've been in holiday mode for so long I'm feeling a bit rusty.  I pulled out my Botanical Builder framelits, and used a sponge dauber to add ink to the flower and leaves - hopefully this gives them a little more depth.  The sentiment is from the new So In Love set in the Occasions Catty.  I took this photo at night so my little blingy bits aren't all sparkly as they are in real life.

Next on the hop is the lovely, Julia Quinn.  Click the 'next blog' image below to be taken to her project.

Thanks so much for taking a little time to stop by, and if you've left a comment thanks, I love reading them.
