Good morning crafty friends ~
Eeeeeek - it's been a few weeks since I've blogged & I'm here today to share a cutie critter card. Lots of family news at bottom of post too, if you're interested.
Karren suggested the new Just Add Ink challenge for this week, and we're adding critters. Fun huh!
I pulled out my Chubby Chums stamps from Paper Smooches and coloured up this little dog with copic markers. Can you believe I'm a year behind the times and only just using some of the lovely glitter tape that was available during SAB last year? Can everyone say hoarder? The designer paper is from the long retired Lime Tart papers by MME. I've used my stitched circle dies to cut twice and raised the centre circle up with dimensionals - something a little fun to add interest.
Pop over to JAI and check out all the awesome critters we've shared this week. Hopefully you'll be inspired to join the challenge fun.
Some news from me....we had a lovely 10 day holiday in Fiji, super relaxing with lots of swimming, reading, eating and general lazing around. It was extremely humid which wasn't too pleasant for this old gal. The locals are absolutely lovely, so friendly and can't do enough for you. A highlight was a day out on Tivua Island snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking and having fun in gorgeous crystal clear waters.
We also got married! The ceremony was very small, and just beautiful. I'd repeat that part every day forever if I could. We had a trio of locals on guitar with such beautiful voices, and our celebrant was such a fun, easy going guy. It was very special, with just our three kids, the Mister's parents and my Aunt from New Zealand (since my parents are no longer here).
While I'm sharing news.....we're welcoming a lovely exchange student from the US on Monday. She'll be joining our family until the end of November and I'm excited to be celebrating her sweet 16th while she's here, and we'll also have the opportunity to give her an Aussie Thanksgiving. The downside - I'm packing up my craft room to make space. Not quite sure how I'm going to go crafting out of boxes, so we shall see....
Thanks for stopping by today, have a fabulous weekend.

This goofy puppy is just adorable P. Love your border of glimmer tape - you can add me to the list of hoarders too! xxx
ReplyDeleteYour fun puppy's face makes me chuckle - so gorgeous P! I love your circle theme and stitches details and pop of sparkle. I must be a hoarder as still have this too :-) xx
ReplyDeleteLOL, I thought I recognised that glitter tape! Your dog is soooo cute. I love the spotty paper too.
ReplyDeleteOh that puppy is just too cute and your colouring of him is fabulous! Gorgeous card, Patrice!
ReplyDeleteFun and beautiful all at the same time! I love how you've layered the puppy over the glitter tape. I still have some of that too - hoarding a special talent that crafters are very good at. Be proud! Plus, it's not hoarding if you use it :) Kelly x
