Hello, and happy Friday ~
Well I think I finally have my head out of boxes, and the new house organised. Yippee! My craft room isn't completely as I want it but I'll be sure to share some pics when it's done. It's been a long and busy few weeks and we're all looking forward to normal life resuming.
Over at Just Add Ink this week, Kim has given us a fun sketch to work with. I pulled out my cute little sail boat dies from Paper Smooches. I even made a sailor's knot - it's a little fuzzy in my pic, apologies. I found a really easy tute over on Barbera Anders blog. In keeping with the nautical theme I've used the Maritime designer paper from Stampin' Up!
Short and sweet from me today. Here is the sketch so you can play along with us - don't forget to pop over to JAI and check out the design team inspiration.
Hope to be back again soon. Have a fabulous weekend - Canberra is due some lovely warm, sunny days so I'm looking forward to spending a bit of time outdoors.
That brilliantly bright boat will make any sailor smile P. It's just so happy! I love how you carried your nautical theme through with the sailors knot too. Let's hope we can enjoy the sunshine soon! xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that everything is gradually coming together for you with the house etc. Can imagine you still have many boxes to go thru and more homes to find for everything you own. How are the twins?? Are they feeling better? How did your son's school disco go?? I received your card today, thank you very much but haven't opened it yet. I don't usually do much on my birthday so will leave it till Monday to add a bit more excitement to my day!! And your card, well, its brilliant. The background paper is stunning and I can't believe you knew how to do a sailors knot, such a fabulous embellishment. Hope you get some rest this weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful that the worst of the moving seems to be over and you can start to enjoy your new home and some warmer weather! I just love your clean take on the sketch this week with your fabulous yacht and your sailers knot is an absolute wow! xo
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you've survived my friend, was starting to think you'd been swallowed by Mt cardboard..:0)
ReplyDeleteLoving that cute little nautical knot, makes a great accent to go with that sweet little sail boat...Great theme. xx
Love your card. The first thing I was going to ask, was how do you do the knot. Thanks for the link. Love how it all links together.
