OMGoodness Friday's roll around ever so quickly....over at Just Add Ink today we have a new sketch challenge from Narelle.
It's been a really crazy busy time the past six weeks (you know...buying and selling houses, sending GK off on his big adventure to Borneo), and I've had minimal crafting time. Today I have a fairly straight forward, simple, layered card to share.
Using a base of Coastal Cabana and the Best Year Ever designer paper (another freebie from SAB this year), along with a little Sahara Sand and some (now retired) Crisp Cantaloupe I just layered up. Told you, pretty simple!
The design team have made some stunning cards to share with you this week, so head over to JAI and check them out. I'm sure you'll be inspired by their creations. Hope you can join the challenge fun with us. Here's the sketch.
Well GK left bright and early yesterday morning. I was a bit teary and sad to send him off, despite this being a fabulous opportunity and such a learning experience for him. I'm already counting the days/weeks until he comes home with all his news, and hopefully a memory card full of photos!
We have an open home this Saturday and Sunday so a bit of a drag, but it should be reasonably painless. I'm already tired of having to wipe down the shower and bathroom every time one of us uses it. I've been smart though, and closed off the other two bathrooms - so no extra cleaning required lol.
Hope you have a fabbo weekend! Back again soon.
Beautiful card! I'm curious what you used for the white swirl behind the flowers.
ReplyDeleteHi Shauna, thanks for your lovely comment. I used one of the PTI Circle Scribble Dies behind the flowers. Link here >>> https://www.papertreyink.com/pti-dies/papertrey-ink-circle-scribbles-die-collection-set-of-3/
DeleteSuch a beautiful colour combo, P. Good luck with the open house sessions! Love your card, and hope you get to make plenty more while your young man is away. xx
ReplyDeleteLove your colour scheme and use of the flowers. Hugs Jo
ReplyDeleteThis is simply stunning Patricw! I adore your colour combo and cluster of flowers and leaves and I too was going to ask you about the delicate PTI die :-) Hope the Open days go really well and am sure your GK will be having a ball - how wonderful are Mum and Dad to make it happen! xx
ReplyDeleteLOVE!....This is so pretty P, l love the colours and flower detail.
ReplyDeleteI hope GK has a fab time and you cope without him, life for you guy's is so busy at the min, he'll be home before you know it. xx
Love this fresh colour combo and that pretty swirl die is very cute!!!
ReplyDeleteHope your open homes go well this weekend :)
This is stunning Patrice. I can imagine just how busy you have been - sounds flat out! I love this colour combo and you cute circle die. Chantell x x x
ReplyDeleteI've never been thru the process of selling a house and can just imagine how annoying it would be having to keep it clean all the time. Fingers crossed its not for much longer! I don't blame you for having a cry, would be hard not to sending your child off on an adventure. He's going to come back full of stories. Love your colours for your card this week, reminds me of Florida or Miami, that pastel retro look. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe background is so wonderfully textured but so light too P. Love how bright and detailed the flowers feel in comparison. xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! I love those vibrant flowers that pop right off the gorgeous background! This colour combo is so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got so much on your plate & mind at the moment, Patrice so I hope making some pretties like this gives you some happy time. I love how pretty & fresh your card is. The little white scribble really complements the colours & elements (& I can see it would be very useful since I'm totally twisty thread-challenged)& of course I love the pretty Flower Shop blossoms (I soooo love that set)."
ReplyDeleteSending hugs, D
