There's a brand new challenge over at Just Add Ink today! Tina gave us a pretty cool sketch to work with. I flipped mine on its side and finally pulled out the hexagon images in the Six Sided Sampler stamp set that I absolutely HAD to have when it was released. To date I've only used the cute little sentiments in that set. I'm ashamed to say I have many many stamp sets sitting in my stash still brand new! I hope all you other crafty people have the same problem as me? There just aren't enough hours in the day *sigh*.
The colours I've used here are the divine Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky. The front panel of Soft Sky and Whisper White is actually popped up on dimensionals but my amateur photography doesn't show that :(
The design team have come up with an amazing variety of cards using this sketch. Make sure you head over to JAI and check them out. Hope you can join the challenge fun with us! Here is the sketch:
OMGoodness, want to hear something funny? I have only just noticed there is a thread/ribbon going across the entire sketch. I print the dt challenge sheets out a lot smaller and didn't even see it until attaching the image above. Cripes. Hopeless. Honestly! It's too late to change my card, because I'll never get it photographed again. Please excuse my mistake lol.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Big mwah.
Now why didn't my brain work that way..Didn't even think to use the sketch like that. Nice use of colour P and the strong pop of blackberry is very striking. xxx
ReplyDeleteLove your fabulous colours Patrice - so vibrant and the Blackberry really shines :-) And such a great idea to flip the sketch around too :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat card Patrice, love the sentiment and the colour it just pops xx
ReplyDeletei love the way you have turned it around and used those beautiful colours
ReplyDeleteYou know it never even occurred to me to turn this sketch around but it looks great this way too! Love your colours and how you transition from light to dark. xxx
ReplyDeleteI love that you've added some 'splashes' of colour into the background of this card :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea to put this sketch on its end and loving those pretty splatters in the background. Such a brilliant card I think we can excuse the lack of thread....but only this once......
