Good Friday morning lovely friends ~
I've got a super CAS (clean and simple) card to show you for the new Just Add Ink challenge. Mae gave us a colour combo of Smoky Slate, Pacific Point and Calypso Coral this week.
I used my aqua painter to 'flick' ink across my background then I 'rolled' a couple of candles with some dsp scraps - love being able to use a few scraps up! For the 'wicks' I added a little kitchen twine to the centres prior to gluing.
The rest of the design team have come up with some really cool projects using these colours - which kind of stumped me this week. Head over to JAI and check out the inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by today. I have a busy weekend ahead, hope yours is a good one!

Just Add Ink #207 - Just Add a Sketch
Happy Friday bloggy friends ~
I had a huge, and really special day yesterday. Delicious lunch with fabulous company and a lovely view, followed by a Max Brenner dessert - can you say yuuuuumm?! Then a couple of hours enjoying a massage and facial, followed by dinner out with different, yet just as fabulous company. What a day. Thank you to all my beautiful family and friends. I'm very blessed to have you in my life.
I'm here to share the latest Just Add Ink challenge with you today. Kim gave us a lovely sketch to play with this week.
I pulled out the retired Tea For Two dsp - such pretty colours. Base is Island Indigo and because I used a mat of Very Vanilla c/s I inked my doily in Vanilla (non SU) as well - I do love matchy matchy. That doily got a liberal and very glittery spray of Shimmer Mist too. I finished the Tag Topper punched piece with VV seam binding and a little II twine.
I knew this card was going in the post so I've kept it fairly flat with only the doily and sentiment raised slightly. Less bulk means less damage in transit. One hopes!
Pop over to JAI and check out the other design team creations for this week. Be sure to link your entry up so we can visit you, as we do enjoy that.
I'm off to a fancy dress 'milestone' birthday party on Saturday night. The theme is 80's or 90's - I'm guessing the shoulder pads, big hair and purple eye shadow are going to make an appearance - eeeek! I won't be posting pics lol.
Thanks for visiting today, enjoy your weekend - hope you have fun plans!

Just Add Ink #206 - Just Add SAB
Happy Friday crafty friends ~
I'm back this morning to share my card for the new challenge over at Just Add Ink. Given it's everyone's favourite time of the Stampin' Up! year Paula suggested we add Sale-a-Bration (SAB). There are lots of freebies to choose from and the selection is awesome!
I've used the printed adhesive-backed cork flowers from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack. I coloured two of the flowers with copic markers and paired them with Pistachio Pudding leaves and a strip of the matching dsp.
Pop over to JAI and check out the variety of SAB items used by the design team. I'm sure you'll be inspired to join the challenge fun.

Surprise surprise, a mid week post from me ~
I'm pretty slack at taking photographs of my cards and projects as most of you would know. It's really because I'm not very good at it and I'm sure the quality could be a lot better. Truth be told a lot of what I make doesn't even get to my blog... anyway this evening I really had to photograph some design team cards so I put a bunch together and took them all at once.
The twins recently had their second birthday and these are the cards I made for each of them. I totally CASEd them from my friend Bronwyn Eastley, who comes up with some amazing creations! You can find her cute little owl here.
For her... Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie and long retired Sweet Always dsp.
For him... Crumb Cake, Kiwi Kiss and (another) long retired Urban Oasis dsp.
I'm trying to use up my copious amounts of designer paper. It's just so lovely I hate to cut into it... please tell me I'm not the only person who hoards papers?!
I'll be back on Friday with a new Just Add Ink challenge. Enjoy the rest of your week.
